2. Shashthi: On this day, the main celebrations begin. The idol of Goddess Durga is unveiled, and the rituals of Bodhon, Amontron, and Adhibas are performed to invoke the goddess.

3. Saptami: Known as the day of Pran Pratishtha, this day involves the ritual of bringing life to the idol of Durga. A banana tree, symbolising the goddess, is bathed and dressed in a saree, and placed beside the idol.

4. Ashtami: This is one of the most important days of Durga Puja. It includes the Kumari Puja, where young girls are worshipped as embodiments of the goddess, and the Sandhi Puja, which marks the moment when Ashtami ends and Navami begins.

5. Navami: The day is marked by various rituals and the Maha Aarti, which is a grand prayer ceremony. It is believed that on this day, Durga defeated Mahishasura.

6. Vijayadashami: The final day of Durga Puja, also known as Dussehra, symbolizes the victory of good over evil. On this day, the idols of Durga are immersed in water, signifying her return to her divine abode.

Each day of Durga Puja is filled with devotion, cultural performances, and community gatherings, making it a deeply enriching experience for all who participate.

The arrival and departure of Goddess Durga hold deep symbolic significance. If she arrives on a horse, it signals potential turmoil; however, if she arrives on an elephant, it foretells prosperity.
